Turbo-Charge Your Technique

"A Fast Track to Achieving All Your Playing and Performing Goals - in just 3 Days!"

June 12-14, 2009
Sedona, Arizona

Dear Friend,

When I attended masterclasses with Nathan Milsein, they were held in a beautiful 19th century gallery space simply called Muraltengut. Not only was the building itself elegant, it was located on park-like grounds right along the shore of Lake Zurich, Switzerland.

Every time I walked onto the grounds I felt uplifted and inspired. The beauty of the space harmonized with the beauty of the music and content of the masterclass. My playing was elevated - my frame of mind was uplifted. It was the first time I felt the vital connection between physical surroundings and artistic learning.

So it was an easy decision as to where I wanted to hold my NEXT big event, the Turbo-Charge Your Technique Seminar. Natural beauty just had to be part of the equation.

Sedona, Arizona has the feel of a National Park. Surrounded by National Forest, Sedona’s majestic red rocks sit at the mouth of world-renowned Oak Creek Canyon. I have visited there many times, both as a performer at the Sedona Chamber Music Festival and as a tourist. Now I’m fortunate to be able to introduce you to my new home.

In fact, the view from our seminar room is guaranteed to take your breath away. To say you will be inspired is an understatement.

My Secret Fears

I’ve had my share of fears, believe me. That’s why I know how big a role my mind plays when it comes to playing the violin effortlessly. I know what it’s like to hit a wall and feel like improvement has gone into reverse. I know what it’s like to be incredibly frustrated because my fingers wouldn’t do the walking. I’ve experienced tension and nerves while being in the hot-seat as concertmaster of big Hollywood soundtracks and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, quartet leader and soloist.

Fortunately, while leading my full life as concert violinist I’ve had some great mentors. The foremost teacher in my life was Nathan Milstein. In fact he was such a great teacher I’m still benefiting from his words of wisdom and his demonstrations to this day.

When I first started out as a young soloist I thought there was nothing else to learn. After all, when you’re chosen by Neville Marriner to perform on tour with the L.A. Chamber Orchestra, you’ve made it, right?

I soon reversed that outrageous attitude as soon as I met and learned from the Master.

The biggest secret I learned? You take your mind wherever you go.

I’ve taken a stressed out mind into movie scoring sessions. Then unexpected solos were put on the stand seconds before I had to play them. If I had any mental blocks, I learned to ‘disappear' them pronto. I learned how stiffness and physical frustrations are much more easily handled when the mind is clear.

When you’re on the spot, you have no choice but to make all necessary adjustments in order to succeed. I’ve exceeded all my expectations under sometimes grueling circumstances. How? By following a very potent series of mental pictures. Pictures that lifted me from where I found myself to a place of fearlessness and sheer joy.

Now, for the first time, I’m going to share some of my mental pictures with you. Each player attending the Turbo-Charge Your Technique Seminar will come away with life-changing jewels. Play for me and I’ll show you how to leapfrog all physical, emotional and mental obstacles.

P.S. Read what Violin Mastery students have said about previous seminars:

"You said on your website that the experience would change my life... and I believe you have succeeded! Your techniques do bring a greater sense of enjoyment, accomplishment, and relaxation while practicing. I cannot thank you enough for the delightful time I had, and would not hesitate for one second, recommending it to all violin players regardless of their level of playing. I plan on attending many more in the future."

"Dear Clayton:
"Just a word to thank you. As you know, I ordered the Kreutzer course about 9 months ago and have now attended two Masterclasses and 3 hours of intense private training with you. Before I found you, I didn't think that significant technical improvement was even possible for me. I practiced and practiced with little improvement for years. Your teaching has truly been one of the greatest gifts in my life. My playing has improved more in the last 9 months that it had in the last 10 years! You are teaching me precisely how to practice and it works. There really aren't words to express my gratitude. Thank you so very much!"

LaDonna Taylor

"There’s no mistaking it. Clayton Haslop has what every great teacher has had: a lineage that traces back to the great Nathan Milstein, a career’s worth of accomplishment at the highest levels of the business, and the knowledge of the Master who has the ability to take the student from whatever level they’re at to whatever level they have the will to attain.

“He also has something more than most; a deep passion for his art that has not diminished over the years. Clayton was demonstrating the proper execution of a diminuendo for my son one day. He took the volume down to the “point between hearing the end of the note and the point just before you know for sure that it’s gone.” Just about the time when the hair on the back of your neck was at its highest, he turned to my son with a twinkle in his eye and said, “And that’s where the magic begins.” Magic indeed!

“If your musical life has been “all technique and no magic” for too long, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to be among one of the greats.”
