"A 2 Day Event Covering the Entire Spectrum of Violin Technique - in the easily understandable, concise way you have come to expect from Clayton Haslop"

June 5-6, 2010
Sedona, Arizona

Dear Friend,

As you know, there are many ideas floating around the planet about how to play the violin 'the correct way'. Yet unfortunately, and I will not apologize for saying so, there is a lot of voodoo and yes, doo-doo being taught out there in the name of correctness.

One result of this state of affairs is there are many passionate devotees of the instrument – you may be one of them – who have become disillusioned and frustrated with the seemingly endless number of conflicting ideas.

Yes, the violin CAN be a challenging instrument. But it's too easy to accept certain theories as fact, only because they seem logical and are persuasively delivered by a so-called 'expert'. Later you find that these theories don't deliver as promised after months or even years of practice.

I too became the master of several misguided mannerisms. That is before I arrived at the doorstep of Nathan Milstein - a true grandmaster of the violin.

And yes, it took an investment of time and energy to disengage the old, less-than-optimal habits and acquaint myself fully with the real deal. So I'm certainly not going to lie to you, as if there were some 'magic pill' out there transforming you overnight into a concert violinist.

Yet the payoffs from adopting Milstein's methods felt and sounded so amazing I found myself loving the learning process immensely! There's really no other way to put it. Milstein's approach, like a well-established tree, has continued to bear fruit right down to this day!

How I Will Change Your Playing Experience -
in Only 2 Days

You may be aware I've released a large number of instructional DVD courses and programs on violin playing over the last three years. These have gone a long way in straightening out bow arms, tuning up left hands, and delivering the goods on what real violin playing is all about.

As a result there are many, many hundreds of players and universities using my programs around the world today.

Recently it occurred to me to create a new, unique type of learning experience - one that will take my live events to a whole new level.

It will first consist of an in depth survey of all that I believe goes into playing the violin well. During six fast-paced hours I will delve into everything from holding the violin and bow and drawing a pure tone, to all the more advanced playing techniques such as vibrato, up-bow spiccato, shifting, harmonics and multiple stop playing. Included will be discussions and illustrations of all my most powerful practice strategies for learning music quickly, sight-reading, memorization, and the replacement of old, bad habits.

And, should I miss anything that applies to your particular situation, don't worry, I'll set aside additional time to entertain plenty of questions as well.

Additionally, as a special bonus just for attending, I am going to spend 25 minutes PRIVATELY with each participant - a $100.00 value - to assess and make specific recommendations for the improvement of your playing and the enjoyment of the instrument.

"Hi Clayton,
"I wanted to tell you again how much I enjoyed this last weekend. Sedona is every bit as beautiful as you said it would be and the seminar itself, well, after many years of practice, practice, practice and not getting better I knew that I had to get to someone who really knew what to fix.

As I told you before I left, all of the things I just couldn't get the hang of got figured out and although some of it is like starting over, it is also like getting a new life. You are a great teacher and a wonderful man. I look forward to your next seminar.

Thanks for everything."

"Dear Clayton,
"I'd like to express my gratitude once again for such an amazing weekend. You were so abundantly present, focused, and passionate in our sessions, as well as down-to-earth and easy to talk to. It was truly an honor to be your student, and I look forward to returning to Sedona soon."

Why this Seminar is a Must Attend Event...

And I'm not through yet.

During the event I will also set aside a whole afternoon for a traditional 'masterclass'. All attendees will be welcome to sit in on these sessions as audience members.

To participate as a performer within the masterclass periods - available to a limited number of players of all levels - select 'Option 2' on the registration. Make sure you do so soon, as there will only be a limited number of openings during this masterclass portion of the Art of the Violin Seminar.

The bottom line? This is going to be one stimulating, fun-filled weekend.

Finally, if you've had an eye on attending one of my live events for some time, this next and final bit of good news will be the green light you've been waiting for.

My Art of the Violin Masterclass/Seminar – private lesson and seminar – is available right NOW for only $297.00. This is by far the lowest tuition ever for any of my events to date. In fact it's so low my wife will be putting the pressure on to raise it just as soon as she gets wind of it. So you'd better act quickly!

I look forward to seeing you in June.

All the best,

signed Clayton
